31 heroes

Saturday we workout for the “31 Heroes” that lost their lives August 11, 2011 in Afghanistan while fighting for our country.
We honor them by pushing ourselves to the limit!
“31 Heroes” – AMRAP: 31 Min (slightly scaled)
8 Thrusters, 155/105lb
11 Pull Ups
11 Box Jumps, 30/24″
This is a Partner WOD – Partner #1 will perform the work listed above. Partner #2 will run 400m with a Medicine Ball (20/15lb). Once Partner #2 returns from the run, Partner #1 will grab the MB and begin their 400m, while Partner #2 continues work wherever #1 left off.
Score = Total number of reps

iPhone addictions

Most people these days have an unhealthy addiction to their cell phones these days (myself included as I write this post). Technology has advanced so much in the past 20 years, I can't imagine where we are headed. It's amazing...

CrossFit 914

This is a spot I frequent at least 3 to 4x week (CrossFit 914). Nourishing, stress relieving, rewarding and motivating; i don't even remember what life was like before it anymore.

little guy

this little guy is nearly impossible to get to sit still without a tranquilizer dart, (don't worry I didn't use it to sketch these), but I finally got him to semi sit still for a minute or two at a time. even in his sleep he moves around a bunch. he is great practice to just move as fast as my hand and eyes can go to get something down. our pitbull Mika is a lot more relaxed, she just chills and sleeps most of the time, but Miles here is the opposite. all in all, our dogs are awesome, and we are blessed to have them as companionship.
